House of Puff kindly sent me this one hitter a few years back. So why am I just now getting around to reviewing it? Well, to be honest with you… I forgot about it.
It’s a small one hitter that fits easily in the most covert stash, and given how many smoking accessories I have, this one was quickly buried. Add to that the fact that I am not a one-hit smoker, and you have a recipe for forgetfulness.
But none of that is to say that I don’t like this little pipe. I do! Here’s why.
About the House of Puff Le Pipe One Hitter
House of Puff calls this the “Le Pipe” and it comes in a variety of colors in addition to white, including blue, black, green, coral, pink, and marigold.
It’s made of durable stoneware coated in a food-safe glaze and shaped for easy packing and hitting. One could almost say it looks like a cigarette or joint, and you would be right. But the shape isn’t just for aesthetics – the long body of the pipe helps cool the smoke as it pulls through, giving you a smoother draw.
This pipe couldn’t be easier to use – just grind your weed and pack it in the bowl end (the side with the small opening in the ceramic.) Light it and puff through the fully open end.
I mentioned at the top that this pipe isn’t for me, and it isn’t because of the form or the function – it’s because of the dose. I tested this out (as I do for every product I review here) and I just found it impractical for my needs.
This one hitter is designed for small doses of cannabis, perfect for the micro-dose lover or someone who doesn’t smoke often but still wants the option to. As a self-identified smoker, my doses are larger than this bowl allows, and it’s not practical to grind, pack, light, clean, and repeat multiple times when I have larger bowls or can roll my own joints.
But this little one hitter is absolutely perfect for someone who prefers small, controlled doses of cannabis. In fact, I ended up giving this pipe to a family member who was looking for a way to enjoy the fast-acting effects of smoking, without needing to pack a bowl too large for her preference or smoke two puffs of a preroll. This pipe fit the bill and gives her an option to enjoy the rapid benefits of smoking without getting “high.”
Microdoses of cannabis can be incredibly effective for people who want to benefit from the plant without feeling “intoxicated” or “untethered.” Smoking is the fastest-acting method of consuming cannabis, but it can be challenging with traditional bowls or joints to consume a micro-dose – which is where this one hitter comes in.
The stoneware and glaze also make this pipe incredibly easy to care for. Use a small cotton swab dosed in isopropyl alcohol to clean out the bowl end of the pipe. Over time, residue may build inside the pipe as well and can be cleaned the same way.
The House of Puff One Hitter is designed for aesthetics, convenience, and small doses and it’s perfect for someone who wants a little toke now and then, but doesn’t want to overdo it. Best of all, it’s totally affordable and under $30.
