About Love You Three Beauty Sleep Gummies

I always like trying new edibles for bedtime.

As someone who is not a historically great sleeper, I’ve relied on cannabis in the past to help me fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. There are pros and cons to doing this consistently, and I’ve gotten to a point where I use the plant for sleep only occasionally.

Having a gummy I can rely on is key. If you smoke right before bedtime, or you take too much THC, you can wake up still groggy – extremely groggy in my case. So I want the right balance of cannabinoids; something that won’t make me too intoxicated but can gently help me fall asleep and wake up feeling refreshed.

The Beauty Sleep gummy from Love You Three has 25 mg of CBD and 5 mg of CBN. In small doses, CBD can be wakeful. But in doses of 15 – 20+ mg, it can help you stay asleep longer and wake up feeling better in the morning. CBN has made headlines as the new cannabinoid for sleep, but studies show that on its own, CBN doesn’t have a huge effect on the circadian rhythm. But when paired with other cannabinoids, like CBD, it can have more of a sedative effect.

But the best gummies don’t just have cannabinoids, they also have something else: terpenes, herbs, adaptogens, something to increase the activity that the gummy has inside you. These gummies have linalool, a terpene that’s popular in aromatherapy for its relaxing and sedating effects. They’re also infused with two skin-supporting supplements: vegan collagen and hyaluronic acid.

So how do they taste?

Pretty good, actually. Some gummies can be heavy on the cannabis flavor, or worse, the metallic flavor of extraction. These gummies are neither; they’re flavored with blueberry and lavender and the result is a slightly sweet, slightly berry taste with a hint of weed aftertaste. (They also come in a heart shape, which is adorable.)

What I like most about these gummies is that they don’t have melatonin. I don’t like to rely too much on melatonin for sleep because it messes with my dreams. I have tried gummies with melatonin and liked them overall, but I don’t want my go-to sleep gummy to have it.

These gummies use a full spectrum extract, so there is always the possibility of a small amount of THC, but it’s less than.3%. They also have fully vegan ingredients!
