Product Name: Sour Peach Mango Gummies
Brand: Wyld
Category: Edible
Star rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Summary: A flavorful, widely distributed but ultimately mediocre gummy

I bought these Wyld gummies on impulse during my visit to Herbal Choices dispensary in Bandon, Oregon. I was blown away by how cheap these gummies were – and how cheap all of the cannabis products I saw in Oregon were.
When I told the budtender I was looking for edibles, she asked if I wanted them cut or uncut, which was not a question I’d ever been asked before. Curious, I opted for the uncut gummies, and this is what I got (see the photo of the plate.)
I wanted to like these gummies so much, and they weren’t terrible, but they also weren’t amazing.
Wyld Sour Peach Mango Gummies Review
Texture
The texture was the best part of these gummies. It was firm without being hard or crunchy, the type of gelatin that holds its shape well, coated in a thin layer of fine sugar. These gummies were made in the shape of a flower, perforated on the edges, and I cut off a small portion to test them out. It was not easy to cut through and it probably would have been easier to bite off the piece I wanted, but I succeeded.
Taste
These gummies were marketed as sour mango peach, but the driving flavor was mango – no notable sourness or peach flavor. It was sweet and fruity and earthy, everything you’d expect from a ripe mango. There was a note of metallic bitterness at the end, the lingering of the extraction method that is very challenging to get rid of.
I was surprised when I looked at the ingredients list because neither peach nor mango flavoring is explicitly listed. Instead, I assume it falls under the category of “natural flavoring” which is always disappointing to see.
Experience
The package contained 100 mg of THC and I took a dose of about 20 mg. This dose is hit or miss for me – some edibles deliver a pleasant experience while others are totally overwhelming. This gummy from Wyld was closer to the latter. It took over an hour to kick in and when it did, it hit hard.
It was a sharp come up into the high, a zoney, unfocused head-high experience. I took these before watching a movie and by the time they hit, I just wanted to go to sleep. While I can typically handle a strong edible, these are made with a nondescript “cannabis extract” that makes me believe it’s distillate.
Distillate is an amalgamation of extracts from different cannabis strains that use solvents like butane. Distillate is widely considered the lowest tier of cannabis concentrates and cannabis extracts, and it certainly didn’t provide a good experience with these gummies from Wyld. Cannabis distillate is not a whole plant extract, removing the terpenes, flavonoids, and most of the other cannabinoids from the plant extract. I am not a fan of isolate products because I don’t believe they provide a balanced experience.
Would I buy again? No, I would not, even to try a smaller dose. These gummies were cheap – in what I paid and how they were made. This was my first time trying Wyld and it doesn’t make me eager to try them again. I couldn’t find any gummies listed in Oregon or New Mexico (my new state) that have any more detail than “cannabis extract” so I don’t think they make products with higher-tier concentrates.
About Wyld
Wyld is a multi-state cannabis operator that describes itself as “America’s best-selling cannabis brand.” I can neither confirm nor deny that, but I can say that in my travels, Wyld is one of the most widely distributed cannabis brands. The company was founded in Oregon in 2016 and is now selling products in 12+ states and throughout Canada.
