Poetry lovers unite – it’s National Poetry Month. As April blooms into spring, we are encouraged to bloom into poetry, both our own and those who inspire us.
I keep most of my poems close to the vest; little babies born of a burst of inspiration. But in honor of this month and my ongoing self-challenge to share more of my personal work, I’ve got two poems to share for National Poetry Month 2025.
Both of these pieces were written while I lived full-time in the van, and in fact both of them were written at a particular campsite in Northeastern California.
